Lake McDonald at Sunset

One of the hardest decisions you may need to make on your Montana vacation is where to stay in Glacier National Park. There are quite a few options for lodging in Glacier National Park within the Park’s system.

Of course, here Glacier Bear Cabin we’re a little biased and we’ll tell you why. First, our location in west Glacier is not only ideal, but you are right around the corner from Apgar Village and just a short stroll away from Lake McDonald.

Second, your stay at Glacier Bear Cabin INCLUDES your access to the Going To The Sun Road. You just need to pay for your park entry but heading from west to east, we’ve got you covered for 2022! We’ll give you the access info just prior to your arrival.

Third, if that isn’t enough, your Montana vacation at Glacier Bear Cabin includes the use of 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 2 mountain bikes and – new for 2022 – 2 new e-bikes with helmets. How’s that for fun?!  Why would you want to pay extra or schedule and hope for good weather, when Glacier Bear Cabin has them right onsite for you to use anytime you want.

You’re close to the cafe, shops in Apgar and you’ll also find that Huckleberry ice cream at Eddie’s Cafe and Mercantile is just a few doors down from your front door.

We hope you’ll put your phones down and focus on making memories with your family and friends. We remember our vacations as we were growing up and they still bring us smiles and stories to tell.

Whether it’s toasting marshmallows for s’mores (which you can do here too!), swimming in Lake MacDonald, playing games at night or sharing stories from the past – we want Glacier Bear to be where laughter and joy has a place in your heart.

We hope you enjoy your visit to Glacier National Park and hope you’ll consider staying with us. But whatever you do, take a break from technology and look at the vastness, tranquility and size of the mountains around you. There are 1500 square miles of pristine beauty surrounding you and welcoming you.
