Our rustic setting in Apgar will welcome you home after a long day of kayaking Lake McDonald or exploring the trails. A furnished kitchen will let you cook up a delicious dinner, or you can take a barely two-minute walk to Eddie’s Cafe and let their wonderful cooks do the work for you.
A few extra perks: We have Starlink for high-speed internet. The cabin has air conditioning for those warmer summer days (not all in GNP, have this).
We also have Osprey backpacks, hiking poles, headlamps, sunscreen, a cooler bag and blanket for picnicking.
YES, we do have bear spray in the cabin for guests to take on trails. We also have coffee, teas and basic seasonings in the cabin. We also have a great selection of family games, local maps, trail and wildlife guides for you to use during your stay. We hope the little things make the difference for you to really relax! Enjoy!
When you stay at West Glacier Bear Cabin, not only do you get the experience of staying INSIDE Glacier National Park but you get a few perks as well.
There is no need to reserve time or pay for some of those extra activities when you stay here. 4 e-bikes, 3 kayaks and 2 stand-up paddleboards are all on-site and included in your stay. You simply grab the gear and go when the weather, water or trails call you. We have maps, trail guides, hiking poles & backpacks for you to use during your stay.

Rather than scheduling time and paying to rent e-bikes, we have 4 e-bikes and helmets on-site so West Glacier Bear Cabin guests can ride anytime. You can explore Glacier National Park trails all day long or take a leisurely sunset ride then stop for some creamy delicious Huckleberry ice cream at Eddie’s Cafe.

You don't need to schedule and rent with an outfitter, then hope for decent weather when our guests get unlimited use of our 3 on-site kayaks & 2 stand-up paddleboards to use on Lake McDonald. Enjoy the serenity of the morning, or listen to the calming waters as you paddle on Lake McDonald and soak in the park's evening brilliance. Adult & kid-sized life jackets & beach towels included too.
