Montana is an adventurer’s dream of where to come and enjoy outdoor activities. You can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling in the winter. And, you’ve got hiking, biking, kayaking, golfing, and boating in the warmer seasons.

Of course, these are just a few activities to name a small handful. Or, do you want try horseback riding, stand-up paddling, shopping, huckleberry picking, cross-country skiing or even dog sledding? We have all of these just waiting for you in Northwest Montana.

There are a variety of outfitters here to help you with your every wish and dream for outdoor fun. However, we’ll start this blog with a fun recommendation for snowmobiling.

Snowmobiling in Whitefish Montana

Snowmobiling Fun in Whitefish. Glacier Bear Condo.

First, let me say the outfitters here have all the gear and equipment to keep you warm. So, you can take that off your list of excuses and you’ll find some snowmobiles have heated handlebars, foot warmers with heated seats. Everyone is different. But, some outfitters have the snowmobile suits and helmets for you. And yes, they are very warm. However, not all provide suits and boots so, please ask what gear they supply when you are making your reservation.  We don’t want you to get caught off-guard.

Second, snowmobiles are easy to drive and steer. You control the speed, and once you drive the first 15 seconds you’ll see how easy they are. After 30 seconds, you’ll really get into how much fun they are.

Third, you’ll love the scenery! And, if you’re lucky, you’ll see some great wildlife while you’re out. The Montana wilderness awaits your adventure and snow-filled journey.

Make some great winter memories and try snowmobiling

For beginners or, if you’re unfamiliar with the area, use guided packages for a great experience.  You’ll find their information useful, and they will know areas that are at risk for avalanches and will check forecasts for you.

When skiing may not be in the cards, head to the upper elevations and have a ball with snowmobiling!
