You can start your day kayaking on Lake McDonald to see the sunrise or kayak mid-day when it’s warm and splash each other during a battle of the kayaks. We have life vests for adults and kids in the cabin, beach towels, along with bike helmets for when you want to hit the trails too. Can you see that you have a whole vacation packed into one great little cabin at Apgar Village.

We’re not talking about soap, shampoo, towels & linens and coffee pot, which we have. It’s about things like not having to buy bear spray. We have that for you! And, we also have a cooler, backpacks, daypacks and hiking poles for our guests. Instead of worrying about things you forgot, we hope we have you covered with all the extras.
At West Glacier Cabin, Don and I focused on our vacation memories growing up with each of our families. What makes it easy, what makes you laugh and what makes it memorable. We always came back to family time. We have a screened in porch and lots of fun games for families, adults and kids.
And, our notable blue chairs by the fire pit are where you can really kick back at the end of your day. And yes, we have s’mores sticks! See? It’s the little things we tried to think of that guests would like.

Oh, and if you’re worried about getting kayaks to Lake McDonald, we have carts to roll them there. Our fantastic guests have left their suggestions for hiking trails and things they encountered and might see in our Glacier Bear Hiking Journal, so take a look.
When you come, you will need a Park pass at the gate. And, if you want to get drive the Going-To-The-Sun-Road, you can either go before 6am or after 3pm. Between those times, you will need a Vehicle Reservation. Click HERE for more information on that. You can visit our sister location, Glacier Bear Condo on Whitefish Mountain. Yes, we are a TRUE SLOPESIDE location where you are right on the Tenderfoot ski run. Of course, you’ll love looking out the kitchen window in the newer construction building and see the ski lift. In fact, you are close enough to wave hello to your family or friends. And, when we say ski-in ski-out, we mean it! As a matter of fact, just take a look at these pictures!
This mountain modern chalet is a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath with a private deck and private hot tub.
As a bonus, Glacier Bear Condo is located about 12 minutes from downtown Whitefish, 45 minutes to Glacier National Park. And, it’s just 45 minutes to Bigfork or Flathead Lake and just 20 minutes to Kalispell. So, it’s an ideal launching point for your vacation. And, there are king beds in each bedroom with a cool built-in bunk for the kiddos in 2nd bedroom. Additionally, there are adorable twinkling lights for the top bunker are included!
